About me

Bunch of Backpackers is a travel blog, ran by ‘travel mastermind’ Manouk, a medical doctor and travel writer from Rotterdam, the Netherlands. With her endless curiosity, enthusiasm and courage she captures her adventurous travels around the world. So far, she visited over 75 countries! Her mission is to help fellow travelers to make most out of their trips. Therefore, the slogan of Bunch of Backpackers is: Your adventure. Make it count.

Bunch of Backpackers gives inspiration and information to independent travelers around the world. We focus specifically on adventure/outdoor and extraordinary (often more unusual and offbeat) destinations with personal and original articles. Our articles (e.g. Backpacker Bingo) have been picked up and shared via social media by influential companies such as Hostelworld and Kilroy Travels. Bunch of Backpackers was featured in numerous online and offline travel media and appears regularly in ‘Top … list’ of Best Travel Bloggers worldwide. Bunch of Backpackers was featured by Matador Network as one of their top female Instagrammers who keep it real. In 2024 Bunch of Backpackers ranked 334 of all major travel blogs in the world in 2023 (Source: Everything Everywhere) based on Trust Flow, Domain Authority, Domain Rating and Domain Score, showing that it remains a stable and trusted website.

About our visitors

Our visitors are aged 20-40 and are mainly from the US and the UK (70%), the Netherlands (10%) and the rest of the world (20%).
